Sucré Expands Into Medical Aesthetics With Sucré Medical in Calgary and Okotoks

Nov 6, 2026

Growing Alberta beauty and wellness brand expands into medical aesthetics, injectable treatments and women’s health services at its Crowfoot and Okotoks locations

-- Sucré Body Sugaring has expanded its beauty and wellness offering with the launch of Sucré Medical, a new medical aesthetics and women’s health division operating from the company’s Crowfoot location in Calgary and its Okotoks location.

Sucré Medical first began seeing patients at Crowfoot in January 2026, followed by the opening of its Okotoks clinic on February 6. The expansion brings medical aesthetic treatments, injectable services and nurse practitioner-led wellness care into the established Sucré environment.

“Sucré has always been about helping women feel confident, cared for, and at home in their bodies. Bringing Sucre Medical into our family was a natural next step, allowing us to offer medical aesthetics and women’s health services to the clients who have trusted us for years across our 12 locations. I’m proud to grow our vision and make this exceptional care even more accessible to our community.”

A New Chapter for the Sucré Brand

The idea for Sucré Medical developed after Watt connected with nurse practitioner Nicole Hambley Johnston, BN MN NP F/AA, through a mutual friend.

Hambley Johnston had been a Sucré Body Sugaring client herself and was already familiar with the company’s approach and atmosphere. The partnership brought together Watt’s experience building and growing the Sucré brand with Hambley Johnston’s background in aesthetic medicine, healthcare and women’s wellness.

The goal was to create a medical practice that maintained the approachable atmosphere Sucré clients were already familiar with while providing care from experienced medical professionals.

Sucré Medical places particular emphasis on collaborative consultations, education and treatment plans based on each patient’s goals, comfort level, budget and longer-term plans. The aesthetic team also emphasizes natural-looking results rather than changing a patient’s overall appearance.

Medical Aesthetics and Injectable Services in Calgary and Okotoks

Medical aesthetic services are now available at both Sucré Medical locations.

The clinics offer neuromodulator injections, dermal fillers, fat-dissolving injections, full facial rejuvenation and harmonization, HArmonyCa® treatments and IV therapy.

Neuromodulator products available through Sucré Medical include BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport® and Nuceiva®. Dermal filler options include Revanesse®, JUVÉDERM® and Teosyal®.

Complimentary consultations are available with Sucré Medical’s nurses and nurse practitioner, and patients are not required to purchase memberships or pre-pay for treatment packages.

The medical aesthetics team has also continued to grow during Sucré Medical’s first year.

At the Crowfoot clinic in Calgary, injectable treatments and IV infusion services are provided by Hambley Johnston and registered nurse Teya Grandan, RN. Grandan joined the Crowfoot team in April 2026 and brings nearly a decade of registered nursing experience in a children’s hospital emergency department in addition to her experience providing aesthetic treatments.

At the Okotoks clinic, Hambley Johnston works alongside registered nurse Tanya Averill, RN, who joined Sucré Medical in July 2026. Averill has five years of full-time experience in aesthetic medicine and previously worked as a chiropractor and practice owner in Arizona before earning her nursing degree.

Hambley Johnston has more than eight years of experience in aesthetic medicine and wellness and completed her master’s and nurse practitioner training in 2025.

Women’s Health and Wellness an Important Part of Sucré Medical

While medical aesthetics and injectable treatments have become a prominent part of Sucré Medical, the practice was also created to give patients greater access to women’s health and wellness care.

Hambley Johnston provides nurse practitioner-led services at both locations, including menopause care, medically monitored weight management and broader wellness management.

“I created Sucré Medical to offer an approachable, comfortable, and professional space for medical aesthetics and women’s health. I wanted to provide care that supports beauty from the outside in, while also recognizing the importance of wellness from the inside out.”

Clinic Director & Co-Owner, Sucré Medical

That combination of aesthetic medicine and women’s healthcare is expected to remain an important part of Sucré Medical’s long-term growth.

Growing Demand Leads to Expanded Availability

Since launching in early 2026, Sucré Medical has increased both its clinical team and appointment availability.

The Okotoks clinic has expanded from approximately three days of appointments per week to nearly seven, while Crowfoot has increased from approximately two days per week to four.

The clinics have also expanded their treatment offerings since launch, including the addition of HArmonyCa® and IV infusion services. Sucré Medical is currently preparing to introduce microneedling at both locations, with the service targeted to become available by December 2026.

There has also been crossover between the established body sugaring business and the new medical division, with Sucré reporting that existing body sugaring clients regularly discover Sucré Medical through their relationship with the brand.

Crowfoot was selected as the first Sucré Medical location in part because it is Sucré Body Sugaring’s flagship location and had space available for injectable treatment rooms, medical consultations and an IV lounge.

The Okotoks location was selected to establish Sucré Medical farther south and provide an option closer to home for residents of Okotoks and surrounding communities who might otherwise travel into Calgary for care.

Looking ahead, Sucré Medical hopes to continue expanding access to both medical aesthetics and women’s health services in Alberta, with a longer-term vision of bringing the combined model to additional Canadian communities.
